Fairley Update

Greetings from Frederick. Easier Fairley day today - lacrosse for Ian in the rain, no therapies and a night home with the whole family.

Cat had an early birthday lunch at Jennifer's with all the Rotarians in the club with May birthdays. We hope to set a trend (and get meeting makeups!). Last night, she had dessert night with 11 friends at Tauraso's.

Tomorrow, Rich and Cat go to Loyola for Grace's spring semester conference. She is finished there until September. We had the option to go through the summer but the break is good. The news is very encouraging. She is quite verbal and imitates well (good expressive skills). Eg. You ask her to say "money' and she says "money". She see a ball and says "ball". She match pictures (eg. a cow on top of a cow). She won't string many two or three word combinations. Laziness?

What we are working hard on is the receptive skills (eg. Grace, point to the ball..well, she'll say "ball" but not point to the picture). Could be terrible 2's, who knows?

She does know how to get what she wants - she's a girl!

Cat
